Having spent many years marketing the BioBack to doctors while introducing the BioBack into the market; the requirement for supporting clinical studies and medical evidence was beaten into my brain. As such, while it has been easy to talk about the efficacy of the BioBack for pain relief, I’ve been somewhat hesitant to talk about the experiences BioBack wearers have shared with regards to preventing their low back pain. However, I’ve come to realize that by not doing so, I’m doing a serious injustice to the many back pain sufferers out that are looking for answers.
One very common question is “what’s the difference between the BioBack and a retail brace, like what I can purchase at my local drug store for $20-$30?”. This seemingly simple question provides a great opportunity to summarize some of the key differences between the BioBack (a medical grade therapeutic brace) and the traditional retail braces.
For the past four months my activities were extremely limited, basically to sitting or sleeping. Imagine my dismay as despite efforts to eat less AND healthier, I sill gained over 10 pounds. I had more trouble sleeping, I got short-of-breath more quickly and my back and knee pain were aggravated more than usual.
It’s alarming how quickly one’s health can deteriorate. I recently spent time supporting a loved one while they received treatment for complications after a heart attack. What was truly alarming was how quickly his energy and strength deteriorated as he was limited to a hospital bed for a week. As the Occupational Therapist stated during an evaluation, "the absolute worst thing that had effected his health during the past week was lying in bed".
Having spent most of this past week at the hospital with a parent after a fairly serious medical event, I cannot help but think about what I have and have not done with the time I’ve been granted. I imagine it’s natural that I think about the things I still want to do and to consider some of the life style choices I need to make to ensure I have the ability to live life fully and to continue to do the activities I enjoy.
How wonderful could this world of ours be? If the best of humanity’s love during the Christmas Season Reminded each and every person that it’s we…not just me If you truly consider, it just stands to reason
Following duty in the Armed Forces, many veterans have found that their backs have suffered a great deal. Tasks such as carrying heavy packs and weapons not to mention the everyday wear and tear from military duty have placed a great deal of stress on veteran’s backs. So much so, that chronic back pain is a common complaint of many Veterans.
Surgery is a last resort in seeking relief for chronic low back pain— the most common cause of disability — but unsuccessful surgery occurs often enough to warrant its own diagnostic code as failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS)
Millions of people in all continents of the world suffer with spinal disorders, which can have a profound effect on a person’s overall health. Sometimes the pain can prevent them from working or even doing simple daily activities.
When it comes to low back pain, there are so many treatment options available that it can get confusing in determining the correct treatment approach. This is true for many conditions, but especially so for back pain. Particularly when the primary cause of back pain is only known for 1 out of every 10 patients.
"When you have surgery in your back, it's never the same, so when you have a disc problem it can affect nerves, it can make you weak, it's obviously painful." Stephania Bell.
My name is Rick. I am a co-founder of Pro Supports Plus and have been part of the team that brought the BioBack to market. While I’ve shared bits and pieces of my “BioBack Story”, I’ve never shared my personal story online. That’s likely due in part to the fact that we’ve always had such great feedback from customer’s to share, while also due to the thought that the testimonial of an owner might be met with skepticism. That said, my personal experience is too good not to share.
